HitchPhilly: Online Dating is Online Marketing
Dating has changed, hasn’t it?
There was a time when online dating came with a social stigma.
Back then, people met one another at bars, at parties, and through friends. And while that stuff still happens, you know that today, you need to be using the dating apps since, that’s how people meet these days.
Fast forward to today and it’s obvious that these applications have even changed our collective perception of what dating really is.
If you’re a woman, you’ve grown accustomed to rejecting hundreds of creepy or obviously copy-pasted messages and wondering if there’s even anyone worth talking to in your entire city.
Some guys get weird, others overly-sexual, and every once in a while someone gets hostile and aggressive.
If you’re a man, you’ve grown accustomed to sending hundreds of messages with no response.
You may have even taken to copy-pasting the same opening line over and over because it seems that no matter how deeply you read her profile or how clever the opening line, the women online just aren’t there to actually meet up.
There is hope!
You just need a new way of looking at things. You need a new framework, and a few helpful hints on how to not make yourself nuts.
